This gorgeous June celebration at The Gardens at Polehanger was everything a countryside summer wedding should be. It was relaxed, joyful and filled with natural beauty.
Sophie and Tom, our gorgeous couple, spent the morning getting ready inside the house and made the most of the calm light-filled rooms of the spacious six-bedroom farmhouse, before stepping out into the gardens for their outdoor ceremony. With the venue in full summer bloom, the setting felt intimate, personal and perfectly in tune with the landscape.
The ceremony took place on the manicured lawns in the heart of the gardens. The barns and the tennis court made a lovely backdrop and added to the charm of the natural setting.
After the ceremony, guests gathered beneath the elegant stretch tent from Funky Monkey Tents for the wedding breakfast and reception party. The lawns were alive with garden games, sunshine and laughter and there was a wonderfully laid‑back atmosphere throughout the afternoon. As the sun dipped, the surrounding fields lit up with the most beautiful golden-hour light. The perfect backdrop for portraits captured by Ashley Morton Photography that we hope the couple will treasure for years to come.
